Prescribed Information

  • Does my landlord / letting agent need to provide a copy of the service Terms and Conditions with the Prescribed Information?

    No. The service Terms and Conditions relate solely to the service that we provide. Our service Terms and Conditions contain information surrounding our general Terms and Conditions, Liability and Online Security as well as our Data Protection Notice and Privacy Policy.

    It is not necessary for the landlord to provide a copy of these Terms and Conditions under the Housing (Tenancy Deposits) Prescribed Information Order 2007 to their tenants.

    If the landlord has protected an Insured Deposit they are only required to provide a copy of the Insured Terms and Conditions to the tenant(s).

  • What is Prescribed Information (PI)?

    Landlords have a statutory obligation (under the Prescribed Information Order) to make certain information regarding the deposit, the tenancy deposit protection scheme protecting the deposit and specified tenancy related information available to the tenant(s).
