Deposit Disputes:

A new free online training course

DPS online training powered by safeagent

Are you a member of safeagent (previously known as National Approved Letting Scheme or NALS) and looking to maintain your Continual Professional Development (CPD)? Or maybe you just want to know more about disputes? We’ve partnered with safeagent to create a free online training course which will guide you through the key principles of disputes.

What will I get for completing the course?

Those who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). CPD is an integral part of safeagent membership and your certificate contributes one hour towards your safeagent CPD accreditation.

What does the course cover?

‘Deposit Disputes’ educates users on the adjudication process, including the key documents landlords and letting agents should provide to ensure a successful outcome in the event of a dispute.

Written by our Head of Adjudication, Alexandra Coghlan-forbes, the module also covers the key criteria adjudicators consider when deciding on a claim.

By the end of the course, you’ll know how to construct a thorough case for disputes, including what makes a great check-in and check-out report, what evidence you should submit in support of a claim, and understand the considerations an adjudicator will weigh up when deciding whether to make an award.

How do I access the course?
