Starting a tenancy

We’ll help you through the process of protecting a deposit

As the home of deposit protection we've got it covered

If you’re a landlord who’s taken a deposit for a tenancy, you need to protect it in a government authorised scheme. We’re here to help you through the process of protecting your deposits, so you can meet your legal obligations and get your tenancies off to the right start.

A choice of schemes

We provide two types of deposit protection for tenancies in England and Wales:

Custodial, a free service where we hold the deposit for the duration of the tenancy.

Insured, where you hold the deposit and pay us a fee to protect it.

If you're unsure which is better for your needs, find out more about our schemes
