BRISTOL, 30 June 2026 – The Deposit Protection Service (The DPS) has released a series of webinars for landlords and letting agents about the Renters’ Rights Act.

The free-to-view videos cover:

  • Changes to tenancy structures
  • Rules on raising rents
  • Pets in rented properties
  • Enforcement powers

Matt Trevett, Managing Director at The DPS, said: “The Renters’ Rights Act is a significant piece of legislation, and these webinars are aimed at enhancing letting agents’ understanding of the changes it has introduced.

“Although the Act does not affect the protection of rental deposits, the series forms part of our long-standing commitment to supporting and educating landlords and letting agents.”

Susie Crolla, Managing Director of The Guild of Letting & Management, who co-hosts the videos and also provided expert insight on their content, said: “Many letting agents are still getting to grips with the Renters’ Rights Act.

“By working with The DPS we can ensure that as many letting agents and landlords as possible are able to understand what the changes will mean for them.”

The webinars are accessible here: The Renters' Rights Act webinar series.

The DPS is also encouraging landlords and letting agents who want further information to go to the UK Government’s website: Guide to the Renters’ Rights Act - GOV.UK.
